What Backpacks adds
Backpacks provides wearable or placeable storage, six progression tiers from Leather through Netherite, color customization, and functional upgrades. Those are Backpacks features—not standalone Core features.
Why Core still matters
Public Backpacks release listings identify Sophisticated Core as required content. That means the Backpacks release you select should drive the Core version you pair with it.
Upgrade as a set
Do not update Core in isolation simply because a newer number exists. Match Minecraft, loader, Backpacks and Core together, then test the instance before opening important worlds.

- Select the exact Minecraft branch used by the instance.
- Confirm Forge or NeoForge for the chosen release.
